Chenonceau Castle

Discover the Château de Chenonceau in the heart of the Loire Castles with its famous two-storey gallery built under Catherine de Medici. It was built by Katherine Briçonnet in 1513, enriched by Diane de Poitiers and enlarged under Catherine de Medici. the castle of Chenonceau was baptized over time, the “Château des Dames”. Several women’s personalities have successively influenced the architecture and history of this residence which was royal before becoming a private residence in 1601.

Chateau of Azay-le-Rideau

Castle and Gardens of Rivau

Angles sur l’Anglin

Ranked among the most beautiful villages of France Angles sur l’Anglin draws its wealth from the past.
Man has lived on the banks of the Anglin since prehistoric times as evidenced by the Magdalenian sculptures of Roc-aux-Sorciers, the most important in Europe dated 14,000 years ago.
To visit: the imposing ruins of the castle (11th-15th century), which overlook the Anglin valley and the lower town by 50 metres.

The castle of Ormes

The castle of Ormes, overlooking the valley of the Vienne, was built in 1642. It was enlarged in 1729 by Marc-Pierre Voyer d’Argenson, the friend of the Enlightenment and philosophers who dedicated him the Encyclopedia. It sheltered famous guests, especially Voltaire.
Visitors can visit the main courtyard, the large marble gallery, the Pussort wing, the Argenson wing, the high reception rooms, the ancient kitchens of the 17th and 18th centuries and a recently restored 17th century cooler.
