In La Vienne, about twenty minutes from Poitiers, a “VéloRail” allows you to admire the medieval city of Chauvigny. Built in the Middle Ages, its five castles grouped together on a promontory overlooking Vienne river make it a unique site in Europe.

Funny machines use the old railway line that used to transport men and stones from the famous local quarries.
You will discover an exceptional panorama on the city of Chauvigny and its medieval city.

A route where nature and geology give rise to unique landscapes punctuated by viaducts bridges and footbridges, which will make you cross the Vienne.

You will cross the bocage chauvinois during two hours of pure happiness with family or friends, to live, move and breathe!

The first kilometers make you cross the Vienne and admire the exceptional panorama of the medieval city of Chauvigny while the route bypasses the city center.

The rest of the course is in the middle of nature, in hilly environments, composed of dry valleys, hollow paths, undergrowth, then cultivated and wooded plains.
